golden fish heist

two thieves have a battle of wits and romance for their desired prize.

Inspired by my love for action and daring romance, I directed an animation pitch focused on the relationship between two characters with a heist as set dressing. Our biggest challenge was keeping the storyline narratively clear to our audience and staying within the 30 second screen time limit.

Several rounds of feedback and research were conducted during the pre-production process to ensure the strength of the character, prop, and environment designs. I drew inspiration from both animated and live-action productions to craft a visually engaging aesthetic.

My focus was to let the color, character acting, and visual design do the talking for the audience to the point where words are not necessary to communicate what emotions are happening on screen.
