Finding a parking spot can be a time-consuming and frustrating experience for drivers. A study by IRNIX found that the average driver spends around 17 hours per year searching for parking, costing around $345 in wasted time and emissions.
In bigger cities like NYC, these numbers can escalate to about 107 hours per year searching for parking and $2,243 wasted in resources. Not only does searching for parking waste time and money, but it also deters people away from commercial areas which affects the economy and local businesses.
THE PARKING DILEMNA
A vibrant color palette paired with text colors focused on readability enhances visual contrast, while also being mindful of accessibility. Simplifying colors to a limited palette also creates recognition in users of the brand and parking motifs such as safety and cones.
BRAND IDENTIFICATION
Spot illustrations are used as accents for certain screens and to stand out against competitor’s branding. Heirarchy is defined through weight and sizes in typography along with specific color combinations.
